SHRINES OF CENTRAL EUROPE
FROM VIENNA TO VILNIUS


DAY 1 - Departure

Board your transatlantic flight to Vienna, Austria.  Meal served on board.

DAY 2 - Arrival

On arrival in Vienna meet your guide. Transfer to a hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 - Vienna

Enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Vienna, the city of Waltz and  Imperial architecture. Sights include St. Steven’s Cathedral, where we celebrate Mass, the Ringstrasse with its Habsburg monuments and the Old Town with the Hofburg Palace. The reminder of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Vienna.
DAY 4 - Zakopane

After morning Mass transfer to Zakopane,  a city at the foot of the Tatra Mountains. Transitional day. During a “welcome to Poland” dinner in Zakopane we experience folklore show with highlander dancing and specialties of the highlander cuisine. Before this festive evening  time at leisure to indulge into the atmosphere of Zakopane's Krupowki Street and get  souvenirs in the local  Highlanders’ Market. Dinner and overnight in Zakopane.

DAY 5 - Wadowice - Kalwaria

Morning Mass at Krzeptówki at the church of Our Lady of Fatima, which  was  built as a thanksgiving  for the  recovery  of  the Holy  Father  after the assassination  attempt  in 1981. Drive through the lush Beskidy Mountains countryside to Wadowice birthplace of  John Paul II. Visit a Basilica where the pope was baptized and his childhood home converted into a museum. Continue on to the most beloved pope’s Marian Shrine in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska where we celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

DAY 6 - Krakow

Mass at the world capitol of the Divine Mercy in Krakow- Łagiewniki where St Sister Faustina is buried. After lunch guided tour of the Old Town in Krakow ”On the footsteps of John Paul II”. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

DAY 7 - Auschwitz

After morning Mass in Krakow transfer to Auschwitz Concentration Camp, a chilling reminder of the Holocaust. Visit a starvation cell of St. Maksymilian Kolbe. After lunch transfer to Czestochowa for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 - Czestochowa

Morning guided tour of Jasna Góra Monastery, the spiritual capitol of Poland followed by Mass celebrated in front of the Miraculous Icon of Black Madonna venerated as “Queen of Poland”. Transfer to Warsaw, capitol of Poland for dinner and overnight.

DAY 9 - Warsaw

Morning Mass at St John’s Cathedral, where you can pray at the tomb of Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski the Primate of the Millennium. Transfer to Vilnius/ 450 km/, Lithuania for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10  Vilnius

Mass at the Church of the Holy Spirit, where the original image of “Jesus, I trust in You” used to be.  Also stop at the house of the Sisters where St Faustina first saw the apparition of the revelation of Divine Mercy.
 Guided tour of Vilnius including the Divine Mercy Chapel. Dinner and overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 11 - Siauliai

Excursion to Siauliai /250 km/to see the “Hill of Crosses” known as a place to express gratitude to God  for  divine favors and  where our Mass will be  celebrated. Return to Vilnius. Balance of afternoon free. Dinner and overnight in Vilnius.

DAY 12 - Departure

Transfer to the airport your return flight home.
