PILGRIMAGE TO FRANCE
THE FIRST DAUGHTER OF THE CHURCH
DAY 1 - DEPART
Flight to Paris. Meals served in-flight.
DAY 2 - PARIS
Upon arrival to Paris you will be met by your guide and transferred to hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 - PARIS
Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal where our Blessed Mother appeared to Sr. Catherine Laboure in 1830. Venerate the relics of “the father of the poor” St. Vincent De Paul in the nearby shrine. Orientation tour of Paris. Visit the Magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral and St Chapelle the masterpiece of gothic style. Overnight in Paris.
DAY 4 - CHARTRES / PARIS
Day trip to Chartres. Mass celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady in Chartres. After dinner, this evening, enjoy a special one-hour cruise on the Seine River to see the main illuminated monuments of Paris while passing 25 bridges. Overnight in Paris.
DAY 5 - LISIEUX / MOUNT - ST. MICHEL — the home of St. Therese of the Child Jesus.
Guided tour of Lisieux include Buisonnets, “Little Teresa’s” home and the Basilica. Mass in the Carmelite Chapel. Overnight in Lisieux.
DAY 6 - MOUNT - ST. MICHEL
Morning transfer to Mont St Michel. Mass at the Abbey followed by a guided tour of the shrine. Dinner and overnight in Mont St Michel.
DAY 7 - NEVERS
Travel to Nevers. On arrival at Nevers an evening mass by St. Bernadette's incorrupt body. Dinner and overnight at the convent of St. Gildard in Nevers.
DAY 8 - NEVERS / PARAY - LE - MONIAL
Guided tour of St.Gilbert convent followed by time at leisure for private devotions. Travel to Paray Le Monial, cradle of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Mass in the Chapel of the Apparitions, where the Sacred Heart of Jesus appeared to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque which contain her remains. Dinner and two overnights in Paray Le Monial.
DAY 9 - CLUNY ABBEY AND TAIZE
Travel through the French countryside to Cluny, a Benedictine Abbey in ruins destroyed during the French Revolution. Cluny was a keystone to the stability of European society and a leader of western monasticism in the middle ages. Continue on to Taize for Mass and afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Paray le Monial.
DAY 10 - ARS — SHRINE OF ST. JOHN VIANNEY
Curé D'ars French priest, the patron saint of parish priests, who was renowned as a confessor and for his supernatural powers. Mass in the Church which contains his incorrupt remains. Explore the Cure’s living quarters. Dinner and overnight in Ars.
DAY 11 - LA SALETTE FRENCH ALPS MARIAN SHRINE.
This spectacular setting is a series of towering mountains far from the busy world. Mass at the Sanctuary of La Salette where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to two visionaries in 1846. Dinner and overnight in La Salette.
DAY 12 - AVIGNON AND THE PALAIS DES PAPES.
This walled city was the capital of Christianity in the 14th century and home to 8 popes. Dinner and overnight in Avignon.
DAY 13 - LOURDES
After Morning Mass depart for Lourdes, where Our Lady appeared to St Bernadette in 1855 near the Grotto of Massabiele. We will spend the next three nights in Lourdes celebrating the Jubilee of the Apparitions.
DAY 14 - RETURN TO PARIS VIA TGV HIGH-SPEED TRAIN.
It will whisk us to the Paris airport traveling at speeds of up to 186mph. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
DAY 15 - DEPARTURE
Return flight home.
