LISBON- BARCELONA
DAY 1 - Lisbon
On arrival transfer by private motor coach to hotel in Lisbon for overnight.
DAY 2 - Lisbon- Fatima
Morning Mass will celebrated in the Shrine of St. Anthony of Padua who was born and grew up in Lisbon. Panoramic tour of the city will include St. Jeronimo’s monastery, Se - medieval cathedral and the monument of Christ the King. In the afternoon transfer to Fatima for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3 - Fatima
Morning Mass in Cova da Iria, the actual place of the apparition where Our Lady of Fatima gave a message to the world through Jacinta, Francisco and Lucia. Guided tour of the shrine including the newly opened Underground Basilica. In the afternoon Via Sacra and way of the cross will lead us to the homes of the seers in Aljustrel and pasturage at Valinhos, where an Angel appeared to the children of Fatima. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 - Santiago de Compostela
Continue on to the medieval city of Santiago de Compostela. According to legend, the bones of the Apostle St. James the Great were transported to Spain after his martyrdom in A.D. 44 and placed at the site of the Cathedral in the year 813. Mass at the Cathedral followed by a guided tour. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 5 - Transfer to Avila, Alba de Tormes
Depart for Avila. Stop en route in Alba de Tormes, where St. Teresa of Avila is buried. Mass celebration. Arrive in Avilla for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6 - Avila
Morning Mass at Convent of St. Teresa, the birthplace of the great mystic and the first woman to be named a Doctor of the Church. Visit to the Monastery of the Incarnation, a Carmelite convent, where St Teresa remained for 30 years. In the afternoon transfer to El Escurial for a guided tour. Continue on to the Valley of Fallen before transfer to the area of Madrid for dinner and overnight.
DAY 7 - Madrid
Transfer to Madrid. Sightseeing tour of Madrid concluded with Mass celebrated at the Cathedral. Free afternoon for shopping or visit to the palatial Prado Museum with its priceless art treasures. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight in the area of Madrid.
DAY 8 - Saragossa
After morning Mass transfer to Saragossa, where St James had a vision of Our Lady standing on the pillar encouraging him to continue his apostolic mission in Spain. Guided tour of the city includes Plaza del Pillar and the spectacular La Seo. Dinner and overnight in Saragossa
DAY 9 - Saragossa – Lourdes
Transfer to Lourdes, the birthplace of St Bernadette to whom Our Lady appeared in 1858 near the Grotto of Massabielle. Relax before dinner followed by a candlelight procession.
DAY 10 - Lourdes
During your stay in Lourdes we celebrate Mass at the Grotto, we pray for the sick and drink water from the miraculous spring. Submerge yourself at the baths and visit the places connected with St Bernadette. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
DAY 11 - Lourdes- Montserrat
After morning Mass drive to Montserrat in Spain, Catalonia’s most important shrine, where the Black Virgin is venerated since medieval ages. Dinner and overnight in Montserrat.
DAY 12 - Barcelona
After morning Mass drive to Barcelona for a guided tour of the capitol of Catalonia, Spain’s most cosmopolitan city. Our main focus is on the famous Sagrada Familia -Nativity and Passion Façade- to which Antoni Gaudi dedicated the latter part of his life. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Montserrat.
DAY 13 - Departure
Transfer to Barcelona Airport for your return flight home.
