SHRINES OF EUROPE 
FROM PARIS TO ROME


DAY 1 –  Depart
Flight to Paris. Meals served in-flight

DAY 2 –  Paris
Upon arrival to Paris you will be met by your guide and transferred to hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 – Paris
Mass at the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal  where our Blessed Mother appeared to St. Catherine Laboure in 1830. Venerate the relics of “the father of the poor” St. Vincent  De Paul in the nearby shrine. Orientation tour  of Paris. Visit the Magnificent Notre Dame the masterpiece of gothic style. Ovrnight and  dinner in Paris.

DAY 4 – Lisieux
Depart for Lisieux, the home of St. Therese of the Child Jesus. Guided tour of Lisieux include Buisonnets, “Little Teresa’s”  home . Mass in  the Carmelite  Chapel where St. Therese’s effigy can be viewed.  In  the  afternoon excursion to  Omaha Beach area where we visit  the American  Cemetery.  Return  to  Lisieux  for dinner  and  overnight.

DAY 5 – Nevers
Depart for Nevers  where, after taking the veil in 1867, St Bernadette lived for 12 years as a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of Nevers. See St Bernadette's incorrupt body at the Convent of St Gildard and celebrate Mass.  Dinner and overnight in Nevers

DAY 6 – Paray le Monial – Ars
Depart  for Paray le Monial, cradle of devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Mass in the Chapel  of  the Apparitions, where the Sacred Heart  of Jesus  appeared to St Margaret Mary Alacoque and  which  contains  her  remains. Transfer  Ars. Visit the parish  of St. John Vianney, the Cure  fo Ars. Explore  the Cure’s living  quarters. Dinner and overnight in Ars.

DAY 7 – Lourdes
After morning Mass transfer to Lourdes, where Our Lady appeared to St Bernadette in 1855 near the Grotto of Massabiele. Settle into your  hotel  for 3 nights accommodation.  Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 8 – Lourdes
Whilst in Lourdes we celebrate Mass at the Grotto, we pray for the  sick and drink water from the miraculous spring. Submerge yourself at the baths and visit the places connected with St Bernadette. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.

DAY 9 – Avignion
After Mass morning departure for Avignon. The city, which became a second Rome with the arrival of the popes in the 14th Cen  tury.  Stroll around the city to see the cathedral, Popes’ Palace, and the legendary St Bénezet Bridge. Dinner and overnight in Avignon.

DAY 10 – Turin
The pilgrimage continues to Turin. Visit the Cathedral & the Holy Shroud and celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight in the area of Turin.

DAY 11 – Siena
Transfer to Siena, the birthplace of Saints Catherine and Bernadine and Italy's loveliest medieval city. Sightseeing  of Siena  takes you to the Basilica of St Dominic where we venerate the incorrupt head of St Catherine and celebrate Mass. Continue to  the Cathedral and Piazza Del Campo. In the afternoon  transfer to Assisi for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12 – Assisi
Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of  St  Francis. Explore the burial  place of the  Patron Saint of Italy and the Basilica of St. Clare. Here you may kneel before the crucifix from which Jesus spoke to St Francis, asking him to rebuild His church. Visit St Mary of the Angels Basilica where St Francis spent most of his life. Here we see the Portiuncola, the rose garden, and the cave where the saint retired for prayer. Dinner and overnight in Assisi.

DAY 13 – Assisi - Rome
Transfer to Rome. Orientation tour  of  the  city before  you  settle  for 3 nights accommodation in the  eternal city.

DAY 14 – Rome
Morning Mass will be celebrated at the catacombs of St. Calixtus. Continue to St. Paul Outside the Walls the burial site of the apostle of Gentiles. Visit  St John Lateran and proceed to Scala Sancti, the Holy Stairs that Jesus had climbed before being sentenced to death. Continue on  to  Mary Major, the first Marian shrine in the Catholic Church. Dinner  and  overnight  in  Rome.

DAY 15 – Rome
Attend the Papal General Audience at the Vatican and receive the Blessing of the Holy Father.  After  lunch  break  Mass celebrated  at  the Santo Spirito, Divine  Mercy  Center  in  Rome. Afternoon  guided  tour of  St Peter’s Basilica.

DAY 16 – Departure
Transfer to the Airport for your return flight.
